Hopefully
everyone is trying to include some physical activity during lockdown.
Students in Years 7-10 have been directed to our ParkFit website this
year for ideas
on activities they can do at home to stay active, as we know there will
be an increase in screen time during this period. We also encourage Year
11 and 12 students to access the website.
Students,
parents and teachers are all encouraged to engage with some of the
activities provided and students can also create their own activities
and upload a video
of these to their PE Google Classrooms. Students can participate in
these activities during their scheduled PE lessons, during sport time or
whenever they some spare time.
We
call it the 100 Club, as participants are aiming to accrue at least 100
points a week by completing a combination of activities worth varying
amounts of points.
For those who like the competitive element, there is the option to
record your weekly points in the activity tracker on the website each
week and there is also the option of joining our Strava ParkFit Club.
There are also links on the website to brain break activities and wellbeing options.
