Technololgical and Applied Studies - Industrial Arts
All the Staff in the Technological & Applied Studies (TAS) team are enthusiastic and dedicated to:
- Providing your child with a positive, fun-learning and safe atmosphere.
- Providing opportunities to experience a broad range of learning opportunities through project based learning and investigation.
Many of us come from trade backgrounds maintaining industry contacts and links to learning, providing excellent opportunities for students to obtain work placement and even work opportunities. While others have continued and taken their professional studies to the postgraduate level to provide greater depth to their teaching and learning.
We are pleased with the range of courses currently running at our school and student interest is evident in the quality of completed projects and portfolios. Once available, please take a look at the hard work of our students in the Gallery section and the current courses being offered in the Faculty Stage links.
Student Safety:
Your child's safety is very important. Providing exciting and hands on learning opportunities requires skills and techniques that need to be learnt and practiced daily.
Students must wear black leather shoes that are enclosed to ensure their safety in our workshop environments.
Maintaining a comprehensive and detailed Work Health and Safety policy allows us to provide that opportunity and we encourage your child to follow the Departments policy and our own procedures and policies.
