Attendance

Regular attendance at school is essential for your child to achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.

The Education Act 1990 requires that parents/carers ensure their children of compulsory school age are enrolled at, and regularly attend school.

Education is a sequential process. Absences often mean students miss important stages in the development of topics, causing them to find ‘catching up’ difficult.

Absenteeism contributes significantly to student failure at school.
