High potential and gifted education
Some students learn faster, think more deeply, or show exceptional ability in areas such as creativity, leadership, critical thinking or sport. These strengths can present in many ways and at different times.
At Albion Park High School, we are committed to recognising and nurturing high potential early. We know that talent needs the right environment to flourish, so we provide rich, engaging learning experiences that challenge students to extend themselves and take intellectual risks.
Through high-quality teaching, targeted programs and meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom, students are supported to develop their abilities, confidence and independence. We value curiosity, encourage creativity and foster leadership, ensuring students are not only challenged academically but also supported socially and emotionally.
Our approach helps students thrive as learners and as people, empowering them to reach their personal best and make a positive contribution to their school and wider community.

What is high potential and gifted education?
High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.
We do this through:

- tailored support during lessons that stretch, challenge and inspire
- access to a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond our school.
Our high potential and gifted education opportunities
